Diet Mountain Dew Compared to Diet Citrus Drop

Diet Mountain Dew is a popular and delicious citrus flavored diet soda pop. Many people depend on Diet Mountain dew to quench their thirst and give them a jump start through out their day because of the amount of caffeine in Diet Mountain dew. I have been really enjoying Diet Mountain dew since I gave up on drinking coffee. I like the smooth citrus flavor, the caffeine and the fact that drinking Diet Mountain dew does not leave stains on my teeth as colas and coffee beverages can. In this review I will compare Diet Mountain dew to a store brand product made by the Kroger company, Big K Citrus Drop, in an effort to help other diet pop drinkers money.

Diet Mountain Dew contains no sugar, carbs or calories. It is also low in sodium, it contains 54 milligrams of caffeine per 12 fluid ounce serving, which is enough to really give a person a kick in the pants! The average price for Diet Mountain Dew is $4.49 per twelve pack in my area. In my opinion this is a little pricey considering there is a product that is equally as good at a fraction of the price. If you are a regular shopper of the Kroger chain of grocery stores you might be familiar with the Big K line of soda pop. In my opinion this store brand soda pop is every bit as good as Diet Mountain Dew and it costs just a fraction of the price.

Personally, I believe if someone offered me a glass of Big K diet citrus drop and passed it off as Diet Mountain Dew I would not know the difference. Both of these brands of diet soda pop taste great. They are similar in quality. The only difference you will probably notice is the packaging and the savings. Big K brand of pop normally retails for around $2.59 per 12 pack of 12 ounce cans. That is over $2 per 12 pack in savings!

Both of the brands I have mentioned in this review are great. I would recommend either brand to any consumer. I would be more likely to recommend the Big K brand of soda pop based on the high quality and the incredible savings. You can get twice as much of the Kroger Big K brand for the price of Mountain Dew brand soda pop, without sacrificing flavor or quality.
