Taste / Flavor
My dentist recently suggested that I start drinking sugar free soda, as he filled three cavities, that were caused largely by my high intake of sugar sweetened soda. I was somewhat hesitant in switching to diet soda, until I saw a display of Diet A & W Root Beer at Walgreens on my home from the dentist.
For many years, I have been a big fan and frequent consumer of regular style A & W Root Beer. As soon as I tasted the diet version, I thought it tasted virtually identical to the regular style root beer. Any doubts or misgivings that I had about the flavor of diet soda were dispelled upon tasting Diet A & W Root Beer. On a flavor scale of one through ten, I would assign Diet A & W Root Beer a rating of ten.
Please keep in mind that I almost never rate a product a ten. I just don't think that a better - tasting diet root beer could be produced.
Packaging
Two liter bottles of Diet A & W Root Beer are clear, with orange, white and brown labels. The cans are also white, brown and orange.
Overall Rating
All things considered, Diet A & W Root Beer is a great tasting soda that happens to be sugar free. If you are a fan of regular style root beer, you would probably enjoy drinking this diet soda. This product is stocked and sold at retailers across America and is highly recommended by this food writer.
