I lost 23 pounds in 3 three months, eating 3 meals and 2 snacks a day, just by eliminating sugar, all processed baked goods, processed meats and soft drinks.
I replaced them with diet tea, soft drinks, fruit, vegetables and more fiber. I still ate cereal, pasta and bread. I switched to whole grain instead, and this gave me the extra fiber I needed.
So its true, cut out all the junk with meaningless calories and replace them with low-fat carbohydrates, proteins and grains, and you don't have to be too concerned about how much you eat.
