I dance to a song unlike any other
I march to a different drum
I sway to the beat of a different rhythm
I live in a different world
My name is not unusual,
I have not a special talent
No one calls me strange
But I am different
I love with too much of my heart sometimes
I get closer than I should
I let too much get to me
I trust to easily
I judge too harshly
But I think backwards from most
I like to listen instead of be heard
But I will speak my mind
If it's important enough
I love someone I don't deserve
I sing to him from the heart
But I am unlike any other
I march to a different drum
I march to a different drum
I sway to the beat of a different rhythm
I live in a different world
My name is not unusual,
I have not a special talent
No one calls me strange
But I am different
I love with too much of my heart sometimes
I get closer than I should
I let too much get to me
I trust to easily
I judge too harshly
But I think backwards from most
I like to listen instead of be heard
But I will speak my mind
If it's important enough
I love someone I don't deserve
I sing to him from the heart
But I am unlike any other
I march to a different drum
