The Parakeets come in vibrant combination of color and smallest in size among the parrots. Apart from that they are very funny and amusement to be with. They are very loving and social birds. They have their origin in Southeast Asia
Cockatiels come in manageable size with a long tail. They have their origin in Australia. They are usually grey in color but there are other varieties too. Most of the male have yellow head and black feather. They are very happy and cheerful birds and rarely moody or demanding.
Parrotlets are small in size about 6 inches long. They have vibrant colors like the parakeets and can be trained easily. They are very amazing, adaptable and energetic but they tend to be very moody also.
Conures come in small to medium size with a long pointed tail. Their origin is mostly in Central and South America. They come in green color with red, yellow or blue patches on their head. They are social and get along easily with people. They love to play and interact. But they can be loud and noisy as well.
Lorries & Lovebirds are smaller in size about six inches. But they are very affectionate, lively comical and chatty. They are mostly paired as they love grooming and taking care of each other. They can be trained easily and can talk and whistle too. And they can easily swing your mood if you have a bad day with their antics and tricks. Its wonderful to see them sleep cuddled in each other.
Macaws are typically brightly colored, with large beak and a long tail. They are also called the "winged rainbow". They are mostly tropical birds. They can be playful, intelligent but destructive with their beaks too. But they can be trained.
Amazon parrots are green and short winged. They are good at talking and imitating sounds. Their origin is from South and Central America. Their diet includes fruits and vegetables, fresh water. They need healthy diets more or less like the children
Cockatoos can be easily recognized with their crest of feathers on their head which they flaunt and close. They are very gentle in nature and fun on their own. Their origin is from Australia and Indonesia.
Caiques are the newest entry in the parrot pet list. They have vibrant patched color and quite friendly. They are good talkers too and slowly becoming a popular pet choice.
