Different Ways You Might Spend Thanksgiving in the USA

Please drive careful in Alabama, or you could spend it in the slammer.

Alaska might be cold, so wrap up warm unless you're bold.

Arizona should be hot, just don't go wild and drink a lot.

If Arkansas is your spot, don't do a Clinton and smoke pot.

Or you could mix some California sun with some reall good Disneyland fun.

To Colorado you should go if you like Thanksgiving in the snow.

Or pick Connecticut out east for a real Thanksgiving feast.

Delaware should be no mystery, it's got a lot of history.

Ah yes Florida and the beach, but for some it's out of reach.

If Georgia though is in reach, swap your pumpkin pie for peach.

In Hawaii do the Bungee, then sit down and eat a Hangi.

Idaho is the place to go, for mashed potatoes and the snow.

Chicago Illinois the windy city, at Thanksgiving oh so pretty.

Indiana in South Bend, they let you know "Hoosier friend".

If to Iowa you're bound, I hope you get there safe and sound.

If to Kansas you are going, I hope that there's no tornado blowing.

In Kentucky you might be brave and take a tour of Mammoth Cave.

If Louisiana is your wish, go eat a Cajun Turkey dish.

Maine might be your place to be, eating Lobster "turkey of the sea".

In Maryland you might be found, with family and friends around.

In Massachusetts colony old, eat turkey hot instead of cold.

In Michigan "Great Lakes", gather round the fire in the grate.

Minnesota "man that's cold", drink wine mulled instead of cold.

In Mississippi "River State", Southern cooking's always great.

Missouri could be the place to be, with your friends and family.

Or Montana's frozen peaks, big fire roaring, sounds real neat.

Now in Nebraska's cold flat plains, it might just be pouring rain.

But in Nevada's desert heat, cold turkey and salad is a treat.

In New Hampshire make a wish, your turkey dinner will taste delish!

Italians in New Jersey do they eatza, roast turkey on their pizza?

New Mexico I guess, serves turkey burritos in the mess.

In New York the meal is delayed, instead fast food and Macy's Parade.

Spending Thanksgiving in North Carolina, I couldn't think of anything finer.

But North Dakota cold and harsh, outside a wintry blast.

Better then in Ohio by Lake Eerie, where the house is warm and cheery.

Oh Oklahoma sweet farm land, it's home cooking, ain't that grand.

In Oregon the river's wild, so stay inside and feast a while.

Pennsylvania is sure the place, for some traditional Thanksgiving taste.

Small Rhode Island on the coast, enjoy the scenery and a turkey roast.

South Carolina with it's ocean views, is a place that I might choose.

Or South Dakota, cold and bleak, where the feast is quite replete.

In Tennessee you ain't had nothin', without their special sausage stuffing.

Texas to say the least, is sure to serve a massive feast.

And in Utah, "Mormon State", more tradition that tastes great.

In Vermont do they drink Vermouth, and raise a cheer to raise the roof.

In Virginia, "baccy land", can you find the finest dinner in the land.

Washington way out west, some would say their Thanksgiving's the best.

In West Virginia out of the city, the trees and hills look so pretty.

In Wisconsin "Dairy State", I bet there's cheese on every plate.

Finally in Wyoming, way out west, it's a cowboy dinner I would suggest.

But wherever you spend Thanksgiving, I hope you do a lot of living.
Enjoy time with lots of folks, eat good food, share lots of jokes.
