As part of a gift or as the entire gift itself, giving holiday cookies to the recipients is a gift idea which is sure to be appreciated. Although presenting these items on a paper plate is an option which some may choose to do, there are ways to dress up the presentation so that the final product is a spectacular holiday present.

For those who want to give the cookies as gifts by themselves, there are ways to make the gift all the more wonderful. One option for presentation purposes is to place the holiday cookies in a festive dish or on a holiday-inspired plate. No matter what type of holiday the recipient celebrates, whether it be Christmas, Hanukah or Kwanza, there is certain to be holiday dishware to suit the individual. Check in some of your local department stores, such as Target or Macy's, and peruse their holiday dishware options to find the perfect item. If you want to add a little bit more to the gift, place the cookies in a holiday dishtowel which matches the plate or dish it is on.

Cookies as Part of a Gift Basket

If you want to present the cookies as part of a larger gift, try adding them to a gift basket which you put together yourself. Add some other items in the gift basket such as hot cocoa mix, cinnamon spice coffee, peppermint bark and chocolate covered popcorn. You can also add in some keepsake items such as an ornament or holiday coasters which the recipient can keep long after the cookies and other food items have been consumed. The beauty of gift baskets is that they can be as small or large as you like. Simply choose a gift basket which will fit all of the desired contents including the most important part of the gift, the cookies.

There is also a wide array of options which regard to holiday decorated boxes. Choose the box design which you like the best and then fill it with your holiday cookies. Add a nice bow or gift tag to give it something extra. If the holiday boxes are large enough you may decide to place a holiday linen item underneath the cookies, such as a festive dishtowel, which the lucky recipient of your cookies can keep for holidays to come.
