Unless you're Rachael Ray, you probably don't care to get out all of the ingredients you need in order to put together a pizza.
Pizza is easy to order over the phone, but it is hard to pay for when it arrives at your door.
Unless you want to fall behind on your car payments, you probably don't want to develop a routine of spending your money on a pizza delivery service.
The alternative? Easy. Try Digiorno Rising Crust Pizza. Arguably, it comes out tasting better than a freshly-prepared, restaurant-quality pizza. The cheese is not saucy, but it is thick and succulent. And the meats are savory as well. If you like breaded crust like I do, then you'll appreciate the nice puffy crust. Some people put their extra pieces of crust off to the side when they're finished with a slice, which is fine, but I always eat these extra pieces after I'm finished, and these pizza crusts taste much better than a hard, crackery crust from a competitor like Red Barron. With the thick cheese, the savory meats, and the thick crust, this all tastes very fresh. You really don't get the sense that any of it is freeze-dried.
Even the packaging is simple. It comes sealed in a thick plastic wrapper that is designed to be easily peeled back so that the pizza can be pulled out and placed on the oven rack. With old wrappers, I always used to have to cut the plastic open with a knife and then try to make sure the cheese didn't fall off as I pulled the plastic open with my hands. I always ended up with about 1/4th of the cheese left in the plastic wrapper.
Digiorno Rising Crust pizzas cost only about 4 dollars, and they can be quickly popped into the oven while you're watching T.V. Once they're ready, my wife and I can eat about 4 pieces each.
We had company over once, and we prepared 3 or 4 of the pizzas, to accommodate the need. (The convenience of having these pizzas in the freezer was that we could entertain our guests without having to worry so much about where we would need to go to get food.)
Digiorno Rising Crust Pizzas come in almost as many flavors as a restaurant serves: Italian Sausage, Sausage & Pepperoni, Chicken Supreme, Spinach & Mushroom, Three Meat, Supreme, Four Cheese, and Pepperoni. I recommend them all. You may even consider adding some flavoring of your own to the pizza, by using spice, sauce, or even vegetables. Then, you can really create a restaurant feeling in your own dining room.
