DiGiorno Supreme Garlic Bread Pizza Review

The Freshest Frozen Pizza?

Daisy May
DiGiorno Garlic Bread Pizza caught my eye when I was checking out the frozen pizza section of my grocery store. I was looking for a delicious pizza to cook for supper and I really didn't want a mediocre Totinos Party Pizza. So I bought the DiGiorno Garlic Bread Pizza and hoped that I and my family would love it.

The DiGiorno Garlic Bread Pizza was easy to cook. I followed the cooking instructions for the softer crust. The instructions differed only in the amount of cooking time and using a cookie sheet instead of the rack. The crust cooked soft all the way through without having to burn the outer edge of the pizza in order to get the center cooked. The DiGiorno pizza did have to sit for five minutes after cooking before being ate.

The Digiorno Garlic Bread pizza is square shaped which is easier to cut, not to mention eat because the toppings stay on the bread instead of falling off the thinly cut sides. Another plus is that there will be at least two pieces that have no crust edges.

I bought the DiGiorno Supreme Garlic Bread Pizza. This variety has bell peppers, onions, olives, sausage and pepperoni. The sausage is made from pork and chicken where the pepperoni is made with pork, chicken and beef.

I was really surprised at the freshness of the vegetables. They were very flavorful and not a bit mushy like on most frozen pizzas. I don't think the vegetables could have been more fresh if I would have sliced them myself.

The garlic bread crust did not seem to be a rising crust and it is not labeled a rising crust. However, it was thick like a rising crust and the little bio on the box back states "savory garlic baked carefully into our signature rising crust". The garlic bread crust was very good but I did not notice a strong taste of garlic. The outer edge was slightly crisp but totally edible.

I had a couple pieces left over from supper so I wrapped them up for breakfast. Usually frozen pizza, and sometimes fresh pizza, doesn't taste good the next day, but the DiGiorno Garlic Bread Pizza did!

I will definitely buy DiGiorno Garlic Bread Supreme Pizza again and again. I believe that it is well worth the approximately eight dollars I spent for it at Kroger.
