This digital keyboard has about 200 built in tones, the ability to link up to recording and computer software through its midi inputs and outputs. It has built in speakers which are great but also a plug for headphones. This digital keyboard also has a sequencer which allows you to sample music and add it to a specific key on the keyboard. It also gives you the ability to layer productions which is great so that you can make a beat first and then put your melody and bass parts over it. The only con that this digital keyboard has is that it is just as long as a piano. You have to be able to have the space. This is digital keyboard is perfect for those who are serious about piano and making lush compositions of music. It is retails around $699.99 but you can find it for cheaper through the internet.

2.) Casio W.K. 3300 Digital Keyboard Workstation

This keyboard is for the consummate professional. It is feature the ability to record up to 6 tracks which is great. It has a mixer on the board so that you can have your all sounds blending perfectly. This digital keyboard has 78 keys, midi inputs and outputs, the ability make your own sounds, import samples, and software to help you manage your data. This workstation really has no flaws. The only flaw I can think of is that if you are a novice that it might be very hard for you to push this digital keyboard to its full potential. This digital keyboard is priced anywhere from $449.99 to as low as $339.99.

3.) Korg S.P. 250 Digital Keyboard

This keyboard features a very realistic sound to a piano or an organ. It features the ability to record your playing performances and is great for a novice or beginner to navigate. It features a lot of good sounds as well as cool accompanying sounds to enhance any performance. This Korg has 88 keys and is a very stylish digital keyboard. The only con is that it doesn't have enough with it to be worth $699.99 which is the price most stores list it as. The Casio W.K. 3300 Digital Keyboard Workstation does what it does and more for almost half the price.

4.) Korg Triton Extreme Synth Workstation

This digital keyboard is the king of digital keyboards for the serious professional. It is loaded to the brim with features. It has a ton of sounds that some with it but you can make and upload your own. It can sample music, burn audio CD's, and record tracks. You can mix your tracks through this machine. You can also have the ability to cut and paste samples down to your specifics. This digital keyboard is a great buy for anyone who is serious about making good music and put it out with a professional sound. This is a great digital key board that is priced anywhere around $2,799 to as high as $4,000. IT is worth every penny.

5.) Yamaha N.P. 30 Portable Grand Digital Piano

This digital keyboard is a great buy for those who like to play piano for recreation and performances. This is a good, sturdy digital piano which features a nice realistic piano sound. It has midi inputs and outputs. It comes with a sustain pedal to add effects to you playing. A cool thing about this one that I remembered is that it had a metronome in it to keep you playing on beat. This is a good first serious digital keyboard. It is priced at around $299.99 and is a very good buy.

6.) Yamaha P.S.R.E. 430 Entry Level Portable Digital Keyboard

This digital keyboard is a great buy for young students of recording and producing. This key board features a lot of sounds from piano to drums. It has the ability to record, sequence, and mix tracks. It has midi inputs and outputs for linking up to computers or other devices. It has a lot effects that you can add onto your sounds as well as a helpful CD to help you navigate the potential of your digital keyboard. It is priced from $229.99 to as much as $299.99. It is a very good buy for up and coming producers.
