Dina Lohan Says Lindsay Lohan Wants to Open a Rehab Center

With Lindsay Lohan reporting to an Orange County California jail on July 20th to start what is supposed to be a 90 day jail sentence for a probation violation her mother Dina Lohan is giving interviews about her daughters future after prison.

Dina Lohan tells In Touch Weekly in an interview that Lindsay Lohan is trying to stay positive about her jail sentence and wants to open a chain of rehabilitation centers in the future for other drug and alcohol addicts.

In the exclusive interview with In Touch Weekly Dina Lohan seemed to give excuses for her daughters behavior more than real answers for why Lindsay is in the situation she is now, and why no one tried to prevent her from spiraling out of control.

When asked how Lindsay Lohan felt about going to jail Dina said, "When the decision came down, it was horrific. We hugged and cried a lot. But we're optimists. Lindsay is sober and she's fine. I don't want to speak hypothetically

When Dina was reminded that the Judge expected Lindsay to report for jail on July 20th she said, "We're taking it one day at a time. I don't know what the outcome will be."

Dina also expressed her anger at her other three children being ridiculed and taunted for a situation her daughter put herself in by saying, "My son is 22 and graduated summa cum laude and he knows. My other son is 14 and he's out on the lacrosse field getting ridiculed. Ali is in school with these girls being mean to her because of this situation. It's not easy being us."

Dina continued to hold steady in the interview to the view that she did everything in her power to help her daughter in 2007, but at this point is sure Lindsay doesn't need drug or alcohol treatment.

When discussing Lindsay's future after prison and a 90 day stay in an inpatient sober house Dina said, "Lindsay actually wants to open up her own rehab center here [in LA] and a couple across the country to help other kids and celebs so they don't fall through the cracks in this town. She mentioned it to me a couple of days ago. She's really growing up."

The interview with In Touch Weekly comes on the same day Lindsay checked herself into a sober house with her new attorney Robert Shapiro, who you might remember from the OJ Simpson trial. The move was a last minute effort to show the Judge that Lindsay shouldn't go to jail.

If Lindsay wants to follow the suggestions of several Dancing With the Stars fantasy pick sites and blogs she could have a future on the show as a contestant after her time in jail. Many betting sites have odds on Lindsay Lohan being offered a spot on Dancing With the Stars either next season or the season after.
