Dina Lohan Shocked and Angry at Lindsay Lohan Jail Sentence

Calling her daughter Lindsay Lohan's 90 day jail sentence "an outrage," Dina Lohan watched in disbelief as her daughter was sentenced by a Judge in a Beverly Hills court for violating her probation related to a drunk driving and drug related arrest in 2007.

Dina Lohan watched the entire court hearing on television at home with family Tuesday and burst into tears and sobbed uncontrollably as Judge Marsha Revel sentenced Lindsay Lohan to 90 days in jail. Dina Lohan contacted website PopEater to issue a statement in which she said, "This is so not fair to do this to my child."

Lohan, star of movies such as "Mean Girls and "The Parent Trap" will have to surrender and report for jail on July 20th. Experts say though Lohan probably won't serve the entire 90 days in jail, saying most female prisoners serving time for the same offense as Lindsay Lohan generally spend 23 days behind bars, or 25% of their sentence.

Regardless of how long she actually spends in jail, Lindsay will be immediately checked into an in-patient rehab center as soon as she is released from jail to serve the other 90 day sentence.

While Dina Lohan wasn't in court with her daughter, Lindsay's estranged father Michael Lohan was. Michael Lohan said he had hoped to speak to the Judge, but was told he would not be able to. Instead he released a statement through his spokeswoman directly to the Judge asking that his daughter be transferred to rehab facility on Long Island, New York where the family lives.

I don't see that she will learn a thing. She has had 3 years to get her act together and it hasn't happened yet. She will never get it and will ,if not already, become a hasbeen.

Some of these young stars and musicians need a wake up call but they get this idea or lifestyle not just from being famous it is clear that her mother is also perhaps not as clean and sober all the time and daughter takes after mom maybe.

Actually, this may be the very thing that saves Lindsay's life. Too bad that her mother is too short-sighted to see that. This ordeal might be the wake-up call Lindsay needs in order to see that falling out of bars and clubs every night and being addicted to prescription drugs will only lead to her downfall. If she's not in as bad a shape as it appears, then at the very least, it will give her time to get her life in order and grow up.
