Dining Maui Style - Fred's Mexican Cafe

Kihei Restaurant Provides Good Food and Fun Atmosphere

You've snorkeling and swimming all morning. The beautiful sunshine and fantastic views are a little overwhelming at times. However, there is one thing that can bring you back to reality pretty quickly, even when you are in Hawaii. And that something is a growling stomach. When you are in Kiehi, Maui and your stomach starts to rumble, walk across the street, or make the short drive, to Fred's Mexican Cafe.

Fred's is located at 2511 S Kihei Rd in Kihei, HI. So, it is convenient no matter where you are staying in Kihei. What will you find at Fred's? You will find a wonderful atmosphere with vibrant colors on the inside. They have a full menu with a nice variety of dishes. We went at just after normal lunch hours on weekday and were able to be quickly seated. And when I say we, I mean our party consisted of 19 people. Despite the size of our group they were able to seat us all at one table and the service was quick and professional

As you can imagine with a group this size just about everything on the menu was ordered or sampled. We ordered everything from shrimp to fish taco's to nachos. It was all fantastic. The drinks were cold and the waiter kept our glasses filled. Did I mention the endless salsa and chip basket? Ours never ran out even with a group of 19. Fred's Mexican Cafe staff made sure our services was top notch.

You are in Maui so you expect to pay more for your food when you dine out. However, the pleasant thing we found at Fred's was that the food prices were very reasonable. Even when compared to the mainland.

The beer and the margarita's are cold and frosty. There are TV's for viewing sporting events, news, etc. depending on what your interest is at the moment. I recommend ignoring the TV. You are on vacation. You are in Hawaii. Relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches and the blue skies.

Don't forget that Tuesday's at Fred's is Taco Tuesday all day long and every hour is happy hour! You really can't go wrong when looking for a place to dine in paradise. I mean you could be eating a peanut butter sandwich on the beach and it would be better than sitting in a cubicle somewhere in some office building far away from the sun and the beach. So, enjoy Hawaii and stop by Fred's Mexican Cafe!
