For those wanting some "old Chicago style" pizza, there are plenty of pizza dish options for your taste buds to experience. A pizza bar is open where the selections change from day to day. If you would rather create your own pizza, you can begin by choosing your crust, then your cheeses, meats, vegetables, and more. Cheese options include pepperjack, blue cheese, provolone, ricotta and swiss. For the meat selection, you can choose from hickory ham to grilled steak, or even meatballs! The vegetable additions offers a wide selection that includes pineapple, or something spicy such as pepperoncinis or the traditional toppings like pepperoni, sausage, or black olives.
If you would rather not dine on pizza, Old Chicago offers plenty of other entree selections too. Try their famous calzones-as Old Chicago is the "Offical home of the Calzone." Guests may build their own calzones, or you can order from the premade menu selections like spinich artichoke or a chicken club.
Get a little taste of Italian by fiesting on pasta options such as baked chicken parmesan, chicken alfredo or grilled chicken and spinach ravioli. Other entrees include Lousiana blackened steak, steak and shrimp combo platter, chicken rustica or spicy chicken tenders.
While waiting on your entrees or pizza to arrive, each table is equipped with your own little speaker so that you can tune into the television of your choice. Catch the highlights of the current football or basketball game airing. Although, be ready to experience some energy from the sports fans when the Illini are playing at home! All of the fans will be stopping in at Old Chicago for a bite before or after the big game!
Old Chicago is also a place for the family, as it offers a child's menu for the little ones. Children can eat for less than eight dollars. Children can order chicken fingers, popcorn shrimp, and pizza. Don't forget dessert tho! Get some down home tastes with the homemade cheese cake or let the little ones munch on the Old Chicago's famous Big Cookie. If their little bellies are too full-they just might need a doggy bag to carry the rest home in!
So if you happen to be in Champaign, Illinois for the big game, shopping, or just stopping through, visit Old Chicago for some fun, great tasting food, and a promise that you won't go home hungry.
