Dinner, Murder and a Mystery at Adams Mystery Playhouse in Denver, Colorado

For those who love the fun of a good murder mystery, people are dying to get into Adams Mystery Playhouse in Denver, Colorado.

What was once a mortuary and then funeral home, Adams Mystery Playhouse made the place their home after the building closed its doors in 2005. However, this historical mystery theater has actually been around since the mid 1990's.

Every Friday and Saturday night beginning at 6:30pm, Adams Mystery Playhouse provides guests of all ages with the excitement and suspense of solving a murder mystery while enjoying a dinner prepared by Bella Basil, a catering service that is well known to the Denver area. Dinner starts out with a Chablis artichoke chicken breast and rice pilaf. To compliment the meal, a salad and dinner rolls are included. Then, Bella Basil offers fresh fruit and a delicious dessert of coconut cupcakes. Coffee, water and lemonade are available with the meal. There is only one entrée available and the menu may vary, so you may want to keep that in mind.

Although the Adams Mystery Playhouse is an interactive theater, guests do not have to participate if they do not want to. However, for those who love the thrill of being a part of the mystery, be prepared to be a part of show. But before the real fun begins, guests can take part in a scavenger hunt and meet the characters of the show. Participants of the scavenger hunt are even eligible to win prizes for the drawing that takes place later in the evening. After the hunt, guests are then seated with other guests for dinner and the real fun begins.

The ticket price for each guest is $39, which includes dinner and the show. Adams Mystery Playhouse does offer a bar, but drinks are an extra charge. You may want to plan ahead on reservations since Adams Mystery Playhouse stays booked and there are new shows every month.

If you would like to host a private event, Adams Mystery Playhouse is available to do so during days and evenings. Guests can book the Playhouse for a private mystery dinner event at the Playhouse or a location of their choosing. The Playhouse can even be requested for business meetings and special receptions. Tickets for a private event are based on the guest's needs.

Adams Mystery Playhouse is also available for special events like a child's birthday party, with a minimum of 20 guests. Adams Mystery Playhouse will provide your child with a mystery sandwich party, complete with their own mystery to solve, and a tour of the playhouse. The rate for a child's birthday event is $18 per a guest, but does not include cake or party favors which there is an additional charge for.
