I received this one as a gift in a nice little travel set, along with 4 other Dior fragrances: Dolce Vita, Pure Poison, Dune, and J'Adore. Of the 5, I think I like this one second to the least, With Dune being at the bottom.
As I said, the bottle is very nice. I love the dark blue glass with the raised lettering. Very understated yet elegant looking. This is good, since I'll be looking at it for quite some time seeing as how I cannot get the freaking thing open to use it by myself... Yeah. This one is a real pain. Literally. I cramped my fingers up trying. Now I just wait until Lars gets home to open it for me if I want to wear it... but I've now used it often enough to say that, compared to the others in this set, this one won't get used up real quick. heh.
Perfumania.com sez:
Dior Addict is the first floral oriental scent by Dior. This is an intensely soft sensual fragrance indulges the senses with silk tree flower, voluptuous night queen flower, and luscious bourbon vanilla combined with sandalwood and tonka bean. Dior Addict truly evokes a feeling of passion in the woman who wears it.
See now, I got the vanilla and sandalwood parts, which I normally love, but couldn't put my finger on the florals. No wonder, I've never heard of them. heh. I don't much care for them though, I can tell you that much. I mean, I don't hate this scent... and it does smell much better once it mixes with my body chemistry... I guess I'm just not into the whole oriental thang... or maybe it's that Tonka Bean. What the hell is a Tonka Bean anyway?
It does not evoke a feeling of passion in this wearer. It's more of a feeling of damn, I wish I woulda put on the Dolce Vita instead... Again, it isn't horrible, it just isn't as good for me as others in the Dior line.
As far as lastability goes, this one gets high marks. It will last you all evening easily. Be careful with it though, it's a more powerful scent than sniffing the bottle would lead you to believe. Use it sparingly.
If purchased by itself, this small 5ml bottle is about $15, or you can pay $55 for the bigger 1.7oz.
Three stars. If you happen to like more of a floral scent than I do, you might just like this one... if you can get the bottle open.

Post a CommentGreat review, as always!
Hey you should sell these reviews to AARP and other places like that. I bet a lot of people would appreciate knowing they're never going to be able to open the bottle before investing.
you always smelled good to me..:)
