Dior Capture Totale Multi-Perfection Creme Review

A Top Notch Wrinkle Cream

Alexis Valentine
As a part of my birthday gift I was given a sample of Dior's Capture Totale Multi-Perfection creme. I've never used any of Dior's beauty products before, except makeup. Being a high end brand and carrying the name of Dior I only expect the best, so when I tried out their sample crème that's what I was expecting. I definitely wasn't disappointed with the results, but would I buy this product in full size? Well, you'll just have to continue reading.

There are pros and cons to just about every product and service. One person's pro maybe another person's con so the following are my pros and cons for Dior's Capture Totale Multi-Perfection crème. I'll start off with the pros first. What I liked about this product was the thick consistency to it. It went on very light and dried quickly. I liked that it vanished into my skin and didn't leave my skin feeling tight, or gave it a glossy appearance. I found that it wasn't sticky or oily either. A little bit goes a long way. The best part was that this product actually worked. I'm only in my late twenties and have little to no signs of aging but I do have some very fine lines and dark circles as a result of my insomnia. Dior's Capture Totale Multi-Perfection crème works surprisingly very well and quick. The first day I used it I dabbed a little bit around my eyes and any lines, no matter how minute they were, vanished before my eyes. I also liked that there was no irritation, not even a tiny stingy or tingling sensation.

As for the cons to this product, there were a few I must admit. My biggest issue with Dior's Capture Totale Multi-Perfection crème was the price. A jar of this cream cost $125, now that's a steep price for anyone especially considering the state of the economy right now. Aside from the insanely high price it's also scented. The scent doesn't bother me but I can see how some people might not like it. I prefer my creams to be unscented too but the scent pretty much disappears after the cream dries. I also didn't like the color. It was a fleshy, pink tone instead of white or clear. I'm not sure if the color has anything to do with it but I noticed that after I applied this cream it actually made the area around my eyes look more yellow. In fact it kind of accentuated my dark circles. For being $125 a jar I expected it to protect as well but it didn't. Dior's Capture Totale Multi-Perfection crème doesn't come with an SPF. The best way to prevent wrinkles, or the signs of aging in general, is to use protection.

To sum it up, despite the cons I liked this face and neck cream but I don't love it. It does wonders for wrinkles and fine lines, no matter how fine they are, however, I found that it didn't do anything for my dark circles and in fact made it look worse. Would I buy this product again? I might consider it when I'm closer to forty, but until then I think I'll stick to L'Oreal. They have products that work just as well, if not better, for a quarter of the price.
