Pros
This unit weighs less than 5 pounds so it is very lightweight. It is easy to maneuver that even a 10-year old can move it around without much effort. And when you need to take it up and down stairs you can be sure it won't break your back.
The suction power is surprisingly good. When you're in the kitchen and you need to clean the mess you just made this vacuum can do it without much problem. And it's not only for the kitchen. It is also good for cleaning up the mess your kids left after they are done playing in the living room.
It is pretty quiet too. Some stick vacuums are too loud for their size but the Dirt Devil Versa Power only makes a breezing sound. Your family won't mind about the noise it makes when you're vacuuming the living room while they are watching television.
The detached handheld vacuum cleaner comes with on-board crevice tool. It's useful for cleaning tight spaces, base boards and window sills.
Once you done vacuuming you can easily empty the dirt bin. Just push the release button and you can take the dirt bin to the sink and dump the content
Cons
This unit is not designed for heavy cleaning. It's good for quick cleanups but when you need to remove heavy dirt from high-pile carpets or pet hair stuck on your upholstery this vacuum does not have enough suction power.
The dirt bin is pretty small too. If you're doing a ten-minutes cleaning you might need to empty it at least two times.
Lastly, it's about the build quality. As you can expect from a $30 vacuum the plastic feels cheap. It feels rather flimsy too.
Conclusion
For $30 you can get two different vacuums packed into a single unit. It's a good vacuum for spot cleaning and as long as you don't try to use it for heavy cleaning this unit would last quite a while.
