Dirty Gossip: Is Two and a Half Men Cursed?

Now that Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore's eight-year relationship seems to be officially on the rocks, is anyone else starting to think that Two and a Half Men is cursed?

A few short years after it's first air date on September 22, 2003 , Two and a Half Men became the highest rated comedy on television. But while it's stars have raked in the bucks, their personal lives have taken a toll.

Charlie Sheen's swan dive was certainly the most famous. Before Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen's career had reached a low point. His most noteworthy films in the last few years were Grizzly II: The Concert and Scary Movie 4 . But after a few years on Chuck Lorre's newest vehicle, Charlie Sheen's star quickly soared and he set the Guinness World record for the highest paid actor on television earning a whopping 1.8 million per episode .

But while he was raking in the dough, his personal life was spiraling downard. In his eight years on the show, Charlie went through two divorces. After just two years on the show, his wife Denise Richards filed divorced papers citing Charlie Sheen's suddenly bizarre behavior. Apparently, out of the blue, he simultaneously developed an addiction to cocaine and gay and straight kiddie porn. The final straw was when, one day, he threatened her life and called her a "nigger" (for some reason).

Crazy. And then five years deep into his Two and a Half Men nightmare, Charlie Sheen married Brooke Mueller a real estate investor and cocaine addict . Their marriage lasted less than 2 years. Charlie filed for divorce in 2010 from Mueller and then Mueller filed a restraining order against Sheen stating "I am very concerned that [Sheen] is currently insane ." Then social services came to Sheen's house to take his twin boys away to leave one drug addict's house to live in another's.

And the divorces were the least of his problems. Shortly after losing his wife and kids, Charlie Sheen was fired from Two and a Half Men after he went a little nuts, scheduled a national interview and demanded a 50 percent raise to increase his paycheck to $3 million per episode. And then began the hilarious, awkward, embarrassing personal spiral we are all too familiar with.

Now, you can blame a lot of Sheen's actions on the coke and the booze. But what about Jon Cryer? In 2010, the Two and a Half Men co-star told authorities that his ex-wife Sarah Trigger put out a hit on his life. The threat was serious enough that Two and a Half Men filmed an episode of the show sans the usual studio audience.

And now there's Ashton. Just four days after his first episode of Two and a Half Men aired, he's beginning to show the first symptoms of Sheen disease. On September 23, 2011 on his wedding anniversary, Ashton Kutcher set of for Las Vegas to enjoy Sin City. Then, Sarah Leal alleged that he took her and two other girls back to his suite's hot tub for some hanky panky.

What went on exactly? We don't know yet. After the confession, Sarah Leal lawyered up and is now demanding hundreds of thousands to spill the beans.

And while we wait for the highest bidder, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are remaining mum on the topic. But while they haven't come out publicly, their twitter pages are tattling. Ashton didn't mention anything about their anniversary on his page, and they've been posting passive aggressive messages for some time. To each other? To all of us? It's hard to say.

But if Ashton wants to save his marriage, he should probably quit Two and a Half Men before he starts drinking tiger blood, moving the hot tub girls in and calling them "goddesses". But, on the other hand, if the ratings continue to drop, there won't be enough success to keep him cursed for very long.
