Dirty Jobs' Mike Rowe Takes Over the World?

Mike Rowe takes over the World?
What do you get when you cross a writer, a TV show host, a producer and a voice narrator? You get Mike Rowe. Let's start at the beginning of how Mike Rowe came to be, born in 1962 in Baltimore,Maryland. He attended Overlea High School and it was then that he discovered his voice talents when he read through his Eagle Scout program at the Maryland School for the Blind. After high school Mike then moved on to attend Towson University in Maryland.

For those of you still are scratching your heads going " I still don't know who this guy Mike is...",I'll more than willingly shed some light on why I feel Mike Rowe is taking over the World. Before joining the Discovery Channel Mike actually sang professionally for the Baltimore Opera (as a baritone of course) which he really loves.

Then he stumbled on a spot for QVC selling over $100 million dollars in "simulated" diamonds and also appeared in several Tylenol commercials as well as hosting "Worst Case Scenario" for PBS and "On-Air TV" for American Airlines and "The Most" for the History Channel but, that's not all. From 2002 to 2005 Mike hosted "Evening Magazine" on KPIX-TV in San Franciso.During his time hosting "Evening Magazine" he did a segment called "Somebody's Gotta Do It" which profiled unpleasant jobs, that eventually grew into his own show on Discovery Channel " Dirty Jobs" .

You might be asking yourself by now "do I know who he is? " well,I'm going to almost guarantee that if you watch any TV that you at least have heard his his voice and you just don't know who he is. His voice is smooth and deep, somewhat commanding and he usually has a tinge of sarcasm to go along with it. Recently he became the new face for Ford truck commercials, he's the guy standing there giving the other guys a hard time. Mike has narrated the following TV programs, American Chopper, American Hot Rod and Deadliest Catch as well as the reality TV show Ghost Hunters. He is the writer for "The Jaime Kennedy Experiment " and co-produced a show called "You Spoof Discovery".

Mike has been interviewed on "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart,"The View","The Tony Danza Show" , "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and "101 Craziest TV Moments",of course that's only to name a few.Mike has been dubbed the nickname " Mr.Discovery". Mike goes places and does things that the majority of people just won't do.With his humorous sarcastic attitude Mike makes watching him on TV entertaining. On hosting his TV series " Dirty Jobs" he sums it up with the phrase " Be careful what you wish for".

Now,to all the curious ladies out there, yes, this rough, rugged tough guy is single.Besides his many narrating jobs and his ever popular TV program there seems to be a few things that he likes to do in his very little spare time, reading, writing and going on runs tops his list.Several fan sites have quoted Mike as " the sexiest man on TV!".If by chance you don't have the Discover Channel then you could chat on-line with Mike in the many message boards at community.discovery.com here there are a array of topics that range from Mikes FAQS to Advice for Mike to just simple Mike Q&A.

Mike has claimed in interviews that with all that he goes through like being attacked by monkeys, being kicked by a horse, being bitten, being stung, having his contacts melt and even chased by alligators that the media "still makes it sound like fun".Mikes not concerned about running out of ideas for his show, that has now gone well over 100 episodes,he says "I'm more concerned that we won't run out of ideas",right now the program is in the hands of the shows fans.I have seen Mike Rowe all over the TV and heard several times his narrations so of course my thoughts went to,"is Mike Rowe taking over the whole World?" so in his honor I use the phrase for those of you that haven't had the chance to see "Dirty Jobs " yet, "...Now,get ready to get dirty".

I have been a Dirty Jobs fan since the show started. I have to admit I never thought there were this many dirty jobs in the world, but Mike keeps finding them. Although he does have an obsession with a thing called "poo". Working and subscribing to DISh network, I get to watch every episode in HD, which I think make the dirt even dirtier, and the gross, even grosser. But hey its free with any top package, so at least I didn't have to pay to be grossed out lol.

Thanks for this article, I'm only 22 but I have had such a huge crush on Mike since I started watching Dirty Jobs two years ago. I think he's very sexy in a rugged, man's man kind of way. Plus he's so funny and easy going. I think he rocks and the show is so interesting, I've learned a lot from watching it and it makes you appreciate all of the people who do the worst jobs that keep society running. Thanks again I've always wondered about what else he's done, had no clue he was an opera singer. I'm even more fascinated with him.
