Dirty Little Secret

Lisa R. Strong
The game you play;
It is not her choice,
She is just a child,
And she has no voice;

Your dirty little secret;
Is safe in her keeping;
When she kneels at night;
Only God hears her weeping;

The pain in her heart;
Matches the scars on her soul;
Her guilt and her shame;
She finds hard to let go;

Her heart wants to know love;
But she shies away from a lover's touch;
She can't let herself go;
It just hurts too much;

Her mind calls her names;
She doesn't even try;
He will just get what he wants;
And then he will say good-bye;

But she will keep your secret;
Repression is the key;
Wrapped and stored forever;
It lies deep within her memory.

    So many little girls, so many secrets kept, whispers........ your words touch the soul, they are words that need to be said out loud!!!
    Thank you for being a voice for those who feel they can only whisper it.

    How beautiful. Heartbreaking, too. You have vividly captured the essence of a dirty child-molesting creep knowing his secret is safe, buried within the shame of a little girl's heart!
