Disappointment

James R. Ford
Disppointed

you don't answer my phone calls or e-mails

sent from a shallow grave,

you cover me in brown dirt,

filling the hole

ever so slowly.

Sad, to think it was you

who called me a friend

said to stay together

until the very end

of time.

Disappointed

to feel so alone

when all of desire

is right here at home,

sitiing beside the phone

you bought in K Mart

not so long ago.

Sad, to know

you're having so much fun

you once said

I was the the only one

to make your heart beat fast.

The present has out distanced the past

and now, all at last,

the future doesn't exist

anymore.

Thanks for comments. This is not about me, this is just a POV from a writer's standpoint.

Very sad...it is devastating when a relationship ends, hang in there.
