I do believe that these are two quality brand fishing reels, with every day use in mind. Shimano fishing reels, and Daiwa fishing reels are both relatively inexpensive. They are very well made, and very reliable when it comes to conquering the catch of the day! I would consider both brands to be discount fishing reels. When I say discount fishing reels, I am referring to finding a great quality fishing reel, that can with-stand some wear and tear, for a price that is affordable.
Shimano fishing reels and Daiwa fishing reels, have both been around for ages. They are a very well trusted brand, and are capable of holding up to just about any fishing trip that you take them on. Even though they are considered to be discounted fishing reels, they will last you a long time if they are well taken care of.
This means if you are using either Daiwa fishing reels, or Shimano fishing reels in salt water, you should be sure to rinse them thoroughly when you are finished fishing with them. This will help prevent them from being corroded with rust. You should also take the time to oil your fishing reel, after every few times you fish. This will also help to reserve the life of your fishing reel.
To have success with any fishing adventure, always remember these three things; Location, Location, and Location! No matter what type of reel you are using, be it discount fishing reels, or extremely expensive fishing reels, if your location isn't good you won't be catching anything but some sun rays.
To sum it all up, if you are looking for discounted fishing reels, but yet you would still like amazing quality, then I think Shimano fishing reels, or Daiwa fishing reels would be exactly what you are looking for. They are built to last, and are very capable of great performance. These are great, dependable reels for the average fisher man!
