There are few places on this earth that match the mind-boggling diversity that is found on the African continent. Whether it be the amazing mélange of cultures or the jaw-dropping splendor of the topography. Africa is certainly the place to visit and there are many fantastic array of tour opportunities.

Abercrombie and Kent have added 16 extra programs to its 2009 itinerary in East, West and Southern Africa. According to an Abercrombie and Kent spokesperson Zambia is one of the most often requested destinations and that is because it has had a lot of attention focused on it as a new safari destination.

Sanctuary Lodges offers one of the more high-end properties by opening up for clients the former presidential lodge in Zambia called Chichele. From its hillside location this lodge offers a visitor some of the most dramatic sights in Africa. The game viewing from here is fantastic as when Chichele was used as the presidential lodge there was no hunting allowed and there isn't an y development in the area.

South African Airways Vacations offers some wonderful tours. One of the high-end packages is called The Royal Treatment and when on this tour you will stay 3 nights at the 12 Apostles Hotel in Cape Town, 2 nights at La Residence in the Wine Country, 2 nights at the Birkenhead House and 3 nights at the Royal Malewane. The lowest price for this tour in 2009 is $7,999 and that includes the airfare.

For those on a lower budget South African Airways also offers programs such as South Africa In Style. This tour includes 4 nights in Cape Town, 2 nights in the bush and another 3 nights with a Victoria Falls add-on. This tour can be booked for 2009 for approximately $2,399.

For a mix and match African experience Lion World Tours offers the magic of Mozambique. This is ideal for honeymooners as it combines a safari and beach holiday. The tour starts at Sabi Sabi, a great lodge in the Sabi Sabi reserve in South Africa. The 2009 prices for this tour start at $8,199pp including all air travel.

2009 will also see Swain tours reintroducing family safari itineraries due to the fact that it has once again become popular for families to travel to Southern Africa. Swain tours are also putting a larger emphasis on independent travel after recognizing that more and more travelers are wanting to build and customize their own itineraries.

For a wonderful vacation experience take a look at what Africa has to offer from the wildlife rich plains and savannahs of Southern and East Africa, to the exotic isles of The Seychelles and Mauritius and the ivory colored sands of Mozambique' beaches.
