Perhaps you have not heard of the Paleo diet plan, well it first became popular in the mid 1970's. A gastroenterologist named Walter L. Voegtlin created a diet plan based on the foods that the caveman would have ate during the Paleolithic Era.
The concept of this natural weight loss diet is that scientist believes that the caveman was more physically stronger, far more active, had a diverse immune system and best of all free from chronic disease we see common today's in the western world.
The Paleo diet plan differs from many of those trendy diets as it is an evenly balanced mix of proteins, carbohydrates and fats. The human body naturally needs equal amounts of foods from these 3 food groups. Unfortunately, some diets are lopsided suggesting eating a high amount of foods from one particular group which leads to erratic weight loss and weight gain.

Foods are all natural and cooked fresh while processed foods are not on the Paleo diet plan. People are losing weight from eating these foods but there also experience more energy, stronger immune system and best of all are reducing the risk of obtaining chronic disease. Diseases like diabetes, colon caner and heart disease are far less common with those who follow the Paleo diet plan.
