Orlando has these and more! You will surely enjoy the Universal Orlando Resort, Sea World, Walt Disney World Resort, and the Gartoland.
Walt Disney World Resort is the area's biggest tourist spot with the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, and Animal Kingdom as its main attractions.
Kids would definitely enjoy a day at the Sea World, featuring zoological exhibits and many marine animals. It is also an amusement park where you'll find roller coasters and Water Park. Just like the Walt Disney World Resort, Sea World is another featured park which should be included in your itinerary. Spend your day walking through the City Walk, Universal Studious and play around the Island of Adventure.
If you are planning a half-day tour, a trip to Gatorland will be a great idea. Animal lovers, have fun in this huge theme park and wildlife reserve. It offers inexpensive family thrill with its numerous crocodiles, alligators, and birds. Come and visit the petting zoo and stroll leisurely around the nature walk. Gatorland's main attraction is the reptilian show performances. Get amused at the Jungle Crocs of the World, Gator Wreslin' Show, and Up-close encounter.
Drive down the Merrit Island National Wildlife Refuge, an all-year adventure to alligator lovers. You will spot alligators even from inside your car. Alligators are seen best in the mornings. An enjoyable Canaveral National Seashore leisure walk will give you the opportunity to see a large turtle and if you're lucky, you may even spot them laying their eggs on the sandy beach in the spring.
Visit the Kennedy Space Center in Café Canaveral, the place for NASA launches in Orlando. See modern launch pads and defunct rockets. You will also have the chance to speak to an astronaut, see an IMAX space film, and learn about the upcoming space mission. If you want to experience simulator trainings, it would be worth trying the Shuttle Launch Experience or the Family Astronaut Training Experience.
It seems that Orlando never runs out of wonders. Did you know that pop sensationals Britney Spears, Creed, Mandy Moore, and Matchbox Twenties were discovered in this city? Those are just a few among the many. Orlando is indeed the pop capital city with its mainstream music and alternative rock. Home to Florida's break-beat movement, there are also lots of lively scenes for all music lovers like rock music, hip hop, reggae, and metal.
For movie lovers, the large number of cinematic ventures that took place in Orlando, also known as the "Hollywood East," will surely excite you. Walt Disney World Resort used to be a studio operated by Walt Disney Feature Animation, made big hits like Brother Bear, Lilo and Stitch, and Mulan in this area. Potential film makers battle in the Florida Film Festival, a highly acclaimed film festival in the US which takes place in nearby Maitland every March.
Nothing is more therapeutic than shopping! With a 50 million square foot shopping area, you can explore Orlando's wide range of department stores. Recently, not less than five major high-class department stores were added to the collection.
At the end of the day, you can unwind at the Cocoa Beach, get a drink at the beachside bar, stretch out on the beach and enjoy the warm sunset.
