Discussion of the Top Four NFL Fantasy Quarterbacks in 2010-2011

Review the Pro's and Con's of Rogers, Manning, Brady, and Brees

The quarterback position is becoming more and more important in standard fantasy football leagues. As running backs become less valuable due to 'runningback by committee' situations the value of a premier quarterback cannot be understated. With that in mind, let's have a look at the top qb choices for the upcoming NFL season.

Aaron Rogers, Packers - Rogers threw for 4,400 yards last season while having an amazing 30-7 touchdown to interception record. The Packers offensive line can't really get any worse and with Rogers having some huge games last year he is a premier choice as your signal caller. Expect another 4,400+ yards and 32+ touchdowns this season.

Drew Brees, Saints - The reigning Superbowl MVP put on a clinic again last year throwing for 4,300 yards and 34 TD's. I have him under Rogers for a few reasons, Bell is out of New Orleans and will slow down their rushing game a bit allowing defenses some more pass coverage. Near the end of the season last year Brees threw a lot less than he had earlier in the year and they look prepped to continue a more balanced offense again this season. I have him as my number 2 quarterback by a thin margin over...

Tom Brady - The two, three, and four quarterbacks are all very open to discussion as they are all separated by only a few expected points. Brady came out firing this year, showing a fire we didn't see in him last year. Tom Brady should be a good value to a fantasy owner though as it seems he really wants to put on a show this year and return to his previous form. If Wes Welkers defense is making you wary of Brady don't worry, Julian Edelman has shown tremendous talent and Welker is looking like he'll be ready for the season.

Peyton Manning - Few quarterbacks have rewarded fantasy football owners over the past several years like Peyton Manning. Peyton will have all of his weapons available to him this year as Gonzales has returned. The only reason Peyton has dropped to fourth is because of the injury to Jeff Saturday. Saturday has run the offensive line for Manning for years and he'll be sorely missed. Manning has also stated that they are going to try and incorporate more of the run into their offense. Keep this in mind when drafting your fantasy team on draft day.

Don't forget to put some effort into your quarterback spot this year during your draft. The value of them continues to rise. Keep these points and the info in my other fantasy football articles in mind if you are looking at drafting a premier quarterback for your fantasy roster. Good luck on draft day.
