Age linked diseases are quite different as compared to aging itself. Aging diseases are those whose chances of occurence enhances as one ages. An overall healthy adult with moderate healthy lifestyle might not suffer from any of the aging related diseases. The most common aging related diseases are diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disorders, cancer, arthritis, dementia, cataract, osteoporosis and Alzheimer's disease. Occurrence of all these diseases increases proportionally with age however the genetics factors too play an important role in determining this. As one ages there are certain conditions which naturally occur such as alteration in the vision, hearing capability, muscular strength, immunity, nerve function and the bone strength. In elderly people the problems related to vision such as cataract and glaucoma can be treated and restored. As one crosses the age of fifty one can experience the hearing associated problems. The hearing capability gradually reduces. The ordinary lifestyle changes because of the reduced muscular and bone strength. The nervous system gets affected because of which the reflexes occur slowly. As the physical strength drops the movements are hindered. Weaken immune system gives rise to frequent infections. The expectancy of human life has increased gradually with the period of time. This has resulted in an enormous jump in aged population across the globe. The most of deaths entire the world is occurring due to aging related diseases. As a result some of these diseases are increasing rapidly like an epidemic. Common amongst them are cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic disorders. The increase in life expectancy runs parallel with the occurrence of age associated diseases. These diseases are posing various challenges both to the individual and the society. An increase in the population of this section of individuals has changed the society itself and is becoming a big concern for a nation as a whole.
