This Dishwalla song is from the 2002 album, Opaline. Out of all the songs on this album, (one of them is "Angels and Devils") I think that Every Little Thing is the best and I'm not saying for this album only but with all of the songs they have ever done. When I first heard this song back in 2002, I was enthralled by the powerful vocals and the beat. It falls under the Alternative/rock genre but it can stand out in all genres as well. The song talks about a person who wants to be "the one" to catch the other person's fall. "Wish I could be every little thing you wanted all the time... this time... every little thing you wanted." That portion of the lyrics alone has so much meaning in it.
Haunting-this is how I'd describe this song. It's like everything stops whenever I hear the start of it. I just can't describe the feeling whenever I get to hear this. The best way to enjoy listening to this song is to either have really good speakers with good bass and treble and you'll see what I mean. I don't know if any alternative rock song can compare to this. It's like a rock song AND a love song rolled into one. The vocals alone is so soothing that I can actually imagine the singer belting out the lyrics. This has got to be one of the best that I've heard and so far it is still in my "greatest alternative songs" list. Too bad the band has already disbanded. I would love to hear more songs of this type.
