Disney Channel's David Henrie: A Profile

Famous for his role as Justin on Wizards of Waverly Place, Disney Channel's David Henrie is pursuing success on both sides of the camera in acting, directing, producing and writing.

David Henrie: Life and Career

David Clayton Henrie was born on July 11, 1989. He is the son of Jim and Linda Henrie and the brother of Lorenzo James Henrie. David was born in Mission Viejo, California, but his family moved to Arizona when he was 2. The family lived there for eight years until a New York director told David's mom that he had what it took to make it in Hollywood.

After moving to Hollywood at age 10, David Henrie booked his first audition for Burger King and a second for Quaker Oats. At age 12, he landed his first co-starring role on a series as Petey Pitt on The Pitts. The following year, he landed a another role in the series Method and Red before ending up on How I Met Your Mother.

David Henrie's work on Disney Channel includes a recurring role as Larry on That's So Raven, participation in the 2008 Disney Channel Games, a role as Wheezy on the DCOM Dadnapped, and 2 cameo appearances on Jonas LA. In 2007, he landed his break-out role as Justin Russo on the Emmy Award-winning series Wizards of Waverly Place.

David Henrie: Off-Camera Projects

David Henrie hopes to make his mark not only as an actor, but also as a writer, director, and producer. He recently wrote is first script for an episode of Wizards of Waverly Place (Alex's Logo). He is also a proud member of the WGA.

Since childhood, David Henrie has always loved making movies. He is putting his talents to use with his company, YUTE Productions which aims to produce Y-Gen content. He hopes to produce, write, and to even star in some of his own movies. He takes inspiration from Jon Favreau/Vince Vaughn, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Apatow, artists who control their movies and create what they want.

As a young artist, David Henrie believes that it is important to learn about all aspects of show business. This explains his passion for writing, directing, and producing as well as acting.

David Henrie: Personal Life and Faith

David Henrie is friends with Kyle Massey, Frankie Ryan Manriquez, Brandon Mycal Smith, The Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, and Gregg Sulkin.

David Henrie is a former boyfriend of Lucy Hale. He has also been romantically linked to Elle McLemore. His celebrity crushes include Megan Fox and Sophia Bush.

David Henrie is a devout Catholic. He has the scriptural verses Romans 2:12 and Galatians 22:23 on his arms and strives to live by the meanings of those verses in order to live a positive and healthy life.

David Henrie is extremely close to his Italian-American family. As he remarks, "I owe my parents one-hundred percent of my success; without their support and willingness to make their son's dreams come true I never would have come to California. They sacrificed a lot more then anyone will ever know for me. I also owe a lot to my brother Lorenzo, who will be a huge star some day."
