Disney Cruises Appeal to More Than Just Kids

When I first heard about Disney Cruise Lines, I thought it would be aimed only at pleasing kids. I'll admit I was wrong. They do a wonderful job pleasing all ages.

Disney Cruises travel to many exciting destinations all around the world. Some ports of call include the Caribbean region and even Europe. Travelers can see historic seaside town and ancient cities such as Rome, Barcelona, and Cannes. All ages will appreciate the fine food, views, and cultures on a European Cruise.

If you are looking for a warmer tropical climate you are in luck. Disney Cruise Lines heads to the Caribbean, the Bahamas, the Mexican Riviera, and the Panama Canal. On these cruises you can lounge on sandy beaches, snorkel, and many water sports. More adventurous cruisers can explore jungles or the Mayan ruins in Mexico.

The Disney cruise ships are surprising not as childish as one might think. They don't look like Los Vegas on water nor do they look like a Disney theme park. The ships are decorated nicely with Disney characters subtly tied into the art deco style ships.

While the kids are having fun with one of the many youth activities or clubs, adults can have their own fun. There are multiple pools on board and one is just for adults. There are nightclubs and lounges. Enjoy finding tax and duty free shopping during your trip. Photographers will be busy with the many exciting ports of call. There are many restaurants on each ship, including adult exclusive dining.

Adults can also enjoy typical spa services. Availability is limited for spa and salon services, so make an appointment in advance before you even depart. Spa and salon charges are additional charges and could be charged to your room. Those looking to stay in shape while traveling can take advantage of the world class fitness centers.

You don't have to worry the children. Each parent with a child age 3-12 enrolled in a youth activity, will be given a pager. If your child needs you, a Disney counselor will page you.
