Disney Dream Cruise to Offer Water Coaster: What Will Be Next?

Water Coaster, AquaDuck Slated for the New Disney Dream Cruise

Amanda M. Rose
It truly seems that Disney is going all out with the newest edition to the Disney Cruise Line, the Disney Dream. It was announced this week, that this newest cruise ship is going to feature a Water Coaster. Now many people are probably asking, 'what exactly is a water coaster?', I know I was.

The water coaster, the AquaDuck, is a high-speed flume ride that is blowing the amenities on any other cruise ship out of the water (no pun intended). The attraction is 765-feet-long, and will wind its way around the top deck of the ship, shooting riders through an acrylic tube in every direction possible. The ride is said to have a slide through a loop that swings over the edge of the ship and allowing riders an unobstructed view of the ocean 150-feet below. The ride will then be flown down into the interior of the ship and will pass through the indoor children's area before emerging outside once again through a round of "river rapids".

The AquaDuck will be free for all aboard the Disney Dream Cruise, and has definitely left us wondering what will be announced as the next amazing feature aboard this ship!

Now THAT's something you don't see everyday. Kind of makes my stomach do a loop just imagining what it would be like to be out over the side of the ship. Yikes! :)
