Palo on the Disney Dream is very similar to the other Disney ships. Palo features Italian cuisine on all ships. The cost is the same on all ships as well. However there are differences between the old ships and the Disney Dream Palo.
On the Disney Dream Palo has a different look with a large emphasis on the Italian frescoes on the wall. I personally prefer the older Palo that emphasised the ocean view. I am not certain but it seems that the Disney Dream Palo is larger then the other boats. One thing that is better about Palo on the Dream is its location. On the Disney Dream Palo is located Aft instead of the front of the boat which means the motion of the ocean is less obvious. Cruisers in the know would avoid the first night at Palo because it is the roughest time of the cruise and Palo was located at the roughest spot on the boat.
The price has gone up for a meal at Palo on all boats. The brunch used to be less expensive but now is the same price as the dinner so I would suggest only getting dinner. The Dream offers brunch on all cruises though the other boats only offered it on the week cruises but this may have changed since my last cruising on the other boats. The high tea is still available only for the week cruises.
As for brunch it is not the same meal as the dinner. I would not recommend it over dinner especially now that it cost the same. The brunch mostly focuses on seafood which I like but for others there is little other food choice I think they offered a pasta and salad and that was about it besides sea food. While I like seafood I prefer the other food choices that the dinner has to offer. Brunch does offer deserts which are good but small.
The dinner on the Disney Dream Palo is pretty much the same as the dinner at the other Palo's in terms of the food. The food is excellent and if you want a five star meal at only a small additional cost then it is a better deal then Remy's. Remy's does blow Palo out of the water in terms of taste and decadence but you pay a lot to get such extravagance. Palo is a much better middle ground.
Over all I would recommend Palo on the Disney Dream to anyone going on the Dream. Those who have been on Palo before will not be disappointed but they should also not expect anything above what they have had before.
