Muppet Vision 3-D, The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Sounds Dangerous-Starring Drew Carrey, The Magic of Disney Animation, The Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Playhouse Disney-Live on stage and Fantasmic. These shows along with the Tower or Terror and Rock'n'Roller Coaster make the price of admission well worth it. This article will be covering The Magic of Disney Animation and The Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
The Magic of Disney Animation: This is less of a show and more of a walk through. This is technically a tour since you have a "guide". But you can go at your own pace in the tour. The guide is more of an audio loop in certain places telling you about the room you are about to enter or have been in.
The animation gels and themes are very appealing to the eye. You basically move from the beginning of Disney animation to current art. The stuff they have in the glass is the most beautiful Disney art I have seen. This is probably best for teens and above to fully understand the depth and beauty of all the priceless art and information.
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid: If you enjoy high production quality and puppets this show is for you. I could not believe how wonderful this show was. I went because my little sister had her turn to pick the show or attraction the family went to next. The Voyage of the Little Mermaid was the first thing to catch her eye, so I was dragged into this show. My expectations were very low at best. But after I walked out of the show theater I was amazed. The show is the same story as the animated movie.
The execution with the puppets and live actors is where the meat of this show is. The creativity is also something I have not yet seen before. For example when Sebastian the crab goes underwater there are lines like underwater projected in the background. Also bubble blowers go off on the stage while spotlights with bubble inserts move from the floor to the ceiling as if the crowd were diving underwater. This show is family friendly for all ages. Plus the theater is a very comfortable and cool one. This show is great for getting off your feet and enjoying some clean family, quality entertainment.
