Walt Disney has announced their newest Pixar Animation Film, released by Walt Disney Pictures. On June 27th, 2008, WALL E will be out in the movie theaters, a film about a robot and the mess that Planet earth has become. This film is directed by Andrew Stanton, who is known for directing the hit animated film, Finding Nemo.

Fast Forward to the year 2700. Centuries before this, human beings have left the planet Earth, after making the planet such a mess that it has become unlivable. Humans live on a giant spaceship Axiom, circling the planet, waiting to once again inhabit the Earth. They hired a huge corporation to pick up and dispose of all the trash-Buynlarge Waste Allocation Load Lifters-Earth Class. Unfortunately, the millions of little robots assigned to do all the work start breaking down, falling apart, until theres only one left. And that robot is WALL E.

Every morning WALL E tries to do an impossible job-picking up the trash of the whole planet by himself. With the help of his pet cockroach, Spot, WALL E has started to become un-robot-like. He begins to become not only self-aware, but curious as to what is actually going on with the humans.

While picking through garbage, WALL E has found an amazing amount of human items. A Rubik's Cube, a light bulb, are just a couple of his more mundane finds. But his proudest is a VCR, on which he plays a copy of Hello, Dolly! over and over again. But WALL E has no other contact, and has become lonely. So when a new unit is sent down to find something, EVE, WALL E becomes like a lovesick teenager as he follows EVE around, trying to get her attention by showing her his collection of human items that he has found over the years. They don't really communicate until a sudden sandstorm makes them take shelter in the same vehicle, and WALL E really starts to fall in love with her.

Suddenly EVE is recalled. And WALL E has a choice to make. To stay, by himself, and pick up an endless amount of garbage, or try to follow EVE into space and win her love? The choice is made when at the last minute EVE's rocket is launched into space and WALL E latches onto her aircraft.

Other parts of the movie include what really became of the humans after WALL E gets on the Axiom and sees what has happened in 700 years. Humans have become so lazy and fat that they can only float around in giant lounge chairs. The rest of the movie is set out on space, and we will see WALL E run into other aliens and have adventure after adventure.

WALL E actually stands for Waste Allocation Load Lifter-Earth-class. The slogan of their company is "Working to dig you out." The film makes a humorous yet still serious point as to what we humans are doing to the earth with our endless amounts of garbage and our intense inactivity. Pixar's WALL E promises to be a funny, wonderful adventure as we follow this little robot around space and beyond.
