Disney Podcast: WDW Radio Show

Jon Sugi
Lou Mongello, some people may know who I am talking about. Others are asking who this man is. Well he is an author of Walt Disney World trivia books, but that is not why we are talking about him. He is the host and lead designer in the WDW Radio Show podcast. He has gone the solo route since the Mousetunes podcast ended last year I do believe.

The show is composed of news, the Walt Disney rumor mill, interviews, product reviews and any other special segment that makes the final show. The reason I brought this podcast to the article is the information and interesting information that is presented in each episode.

The WDW Radio Show aired its first episodes on February second of 2007. And ever since Lou has been releasing episodes weekly. Each episode has the news both new and sometimes revisited news items pertaining mostly to the Walt Disney World theme parks. Lou will visit the mill and hit on topics that both Disney forums and Disney cast members might spread. One of my favorite pieces of the podcast is when Lou will have a guest come onto the show for a short interview.
These people are either cast members, Disney fans and even the occasional imaginear.

My second favorite part of the show goes back to Lou's roots. He is a Disney trivia seeker and finder. Then he writes about all sorts of little known facts and tit bits. And he will drop a fact or piece of neat information every now and then in his show. This makes his show very different from many Disney podcasts. You can learn something new each week in each episode.

The show is very family friendly and not to mention fun to listen to. I highly suggest this show for any Disney fan or Walt Disney World fan. The production value is professional grade. The podcast even won the best travel podcast award from podcastawards.com. This show is no light production. The audio quality is very high and the content inside the show is always new and fresh.

There is even a few good laugh or two in each episode. And aside from the comedy and trivia there is plenty of information and rumors to keep you busy during the week. So in an overall nutshell this podcast is appropriate for all ages. Yet I would suggest this podcast for teens and older. Not because of the content of the show, but the information in the show. Most of the jokes are about older movies or older Disney figures and or movies that young children would not catch.
