Disney World Coupons: A Guide to Disney World Discounts and Savings

Where, oh where, have the Disney World coupons gone?

Well, actually, they don't exist in the internet world. Oh, you may be able to find printable coupons for individually non-Disney owned companies that are on Disney World property, like some of the shops or restaurants at Downtown Disney. But as far as actual Disney World discount coupons owned by the Disney company at the World, there are none online. There are coupons and discounts- but the coupons only exist in print.

Here's what you can do:

Find Non-Disney World Coupons:

If you've never visited Walt Disney World before, you may not be aware that not everything on property is owned by the Disney Company. In fact, there are 2 full McDonald's on property (one downtown, and one near the All-Star value resorts) in addition to the many fry stations throughout the parks. If you use coupons for McDonald's, the full restaurants should accept them, though I doubt if the fry stations will.

There are a large number of shops and restaurants at Downtown Disney that are individually owned, or owned by other companies. For example, Rainforest Cafe, Yak & Yeti, and T-Rex Cafe are all owned by Landry's. Coupons should be accepted there if they can't be found elsewhere.

Basin, Arribas Brothers, and Lego Imagination Center are all examples of shops that are not owned by Disney, and may have coupons available.

Disney World Guidebooks and e-Books:

Birnbaum's Walt Disney World has coupons in the back of the guide book for things like mini-golf, tours, and some of the hotels that are not on Disney World property, such as Vero Beach and Hilton Head. There are also numerous e-books on the web that will list many discounts and tips for saving money at Walt Disney World. Most of this information is available free on the web, but you may find the convenience of having it all in one place worth while.

Walt Disney World Discounts:

While printable coupons are not plentiful, there are a lot of special offers and discounts available online. The Walt Disney World official website usually is promoting at least one special offer at any given time. The best offers, such as free meals, or buy 4 get 3 free deals usually come out about 3 months before the promotion will end. This means that you may be able to save more money by NOT booking ahead. It does depend, however, on how flexible your vacation schedule is.

Booking Disney World Packages:

While you may be able to make a cheaper package for yourself by combining hotel discounts with ticket discounts, sometimes the package will save you money. Travel agencies usually have access to all of the Walt Disney World discounts, and if you ask the Disney travel company when you call to book, they should tell you of any discounts available. Plus, packages usually come with coupons or vouchers that will save you money on non-park related activities, like water park discounts, mini-golf coupons, and free games in the hotel arcades. It's always worth checking into.

It can also be worth signing up for Disney's newsletters. Often discounts will be different for their various newsletters, and if you sign up for all the newsletters, you can pick the best one for you. So, while it's not easy to get Disney World coupons, it's very easy to save a little cash.
