Disney World Dining: Peco's Bill's Restaurant at Disney's Magic Kingdom

R. M. Dubuc
Dining options at Walt Disney World are numerous, and for many guests, a quick lunch or dinner is preferred to sitting in a Disney restaurant for a few hours and missing valuable park time. Disney World's Magic Kingdom has several quick service dining options to choose from, and Peco's Bill's Restaurant is a good choice for those guests who want a quick counter-service meal in an air conditioned restaurant.

Location

Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is located at Walt Disney World Resort at the Magic Kingdom. Guests must have a paid admission to Disney's Magic Kingdom park to dine at Pecos Bill's. Visitors to Disney's Magic Kingdom can take the free Disney bus transportation to the Magic Kingdom if staying at one of the Disney World resorts.

Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is located in Frontierland at Disney's Magic Kingdom, on the corner near the Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad attractions. The location of Pecos Bill's is also a short distance from the path that leads to Frontierland from Adventureland.

The Menu

The menu at Pecos Bill's features quick lunch and dinner items for an affordable price, as well as some side dishes and desserts. The burgers at Pecos Bill's are one of the favorite menu items, since the toppings bar features several hot and cold condiments and toppings. The 1/4 Pound Burger ($6.09) and the Bacon Double Cheeseburger ($7.69) are both popular lunch and dinner choices. Both come with a side of french fries or apple slices. Pecos Bill's also features a Chicken Wrap ($7.59) and Chicken Salad ($7.19), as well as a tasty Barbeque Pork Sandwich ($7.59). Sides of Chili Fries ($3.59) or an Peanut Butter Brownie Mousse ($3.59) are additional menu options for those with larger appetites.

The limited children's menu at Pecos Bill's offers choices of a Hamburger or Mixed Greens Salad with Chicken for $4.49. Each childrens' menu option includes two side dishes (applesauce, chocolate chip cookie, and grapes) as well as a drink (1% milk, apple juice, or bottled water). French fries and soda may be substituted by request.

The Dining Experience

The dining experience at Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is a casual affair, ideal for those who want a quick meal while touring Disney's Magic Kingdom, and for those who do not want to pay the more expensive prices of a sit-down restaurant at Disney World. The restaurant is air conditioned for those wishing to take a break from the Florida heat, or escape the typical summer thunderstorms while grabbing a quick burger or salad. Pecos Bill's is a family friendly restaurant, and high chairs are available for infants and toddlers.

The interior of the restaurant features wooden tables, spread throughout the dining room areas. An ordering area sits apart from the dining area, featuring several registers and food pick-up areas. The toppings bar is set back, featuring sauteed mushrooms and onions, as well as a variety of other burger toppings and condiments. A drink station is also set up in the main ordering area, apart from the dining room areas.

Peco's Bill's Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is a convenient choice while in the Adventureland or Frontierland areas of Disney's Magic Kingdom around lunch or dinner times. The toppings bar is a favorite of return guests, who enjoy having a burger with all the fixings. Some guests have even put together small side salads from all the different condiments on the topping bar. Guests with lighter appetites may consider ordering an extra bun and sharing a bacon double cheeseburger.
