Disney World For Young Adults:

Totally Worth It

Last August I went to Disney with another 20 something and had a blast. I must say however there were some major bonuses and some major bummers for the 20 something crowd.

Bonuses:

1. Stay in the park.

One of the reasons we went to Disney was because both of us were under 25, meaning that if we rented a car, we would have to pay some exorbitant fee, if we were even allowed to rent at all. This meant we had to go somewhere that did not depend on a car. Staying within the park meant we had shuttle buses free of charge and we could stay late or go early to the parks. Low wait lines here we come!

2. Packages are awesome

We got a Magic your way package with everything: rooms, park tickets, plane tickets, and food. This meant that once we got there, we essentially did not have to think or pay anything extra. We were picked up at the airport and our luggage was brought to our room for us, so we could go straight to the park. We had cards that were our meal tickets/room key/credit card so we didn't need to bring our wallets ( except our I.Ds to drink of course!) Drunk people have been known to forget things so one card could stay in the pocket and be okay. No purse to lose!

Bummers:

1. Packages can be binding

While we did not have to worry about food, we scrambled to get rid of some of our prepaid meals. We also ended up eating more food than we probably would have bought. However, we did the math and doing a package was worth the money. Making a weeks worth of dinner reservations may not be worth the stress. Its up to you.

2. Having to behave

Sometimes you just want to have fun. Having the alcoholic kind of fun at Disney however must be done with caution. Disney is a family oriented place to getting wasted at the park will not only be really expensive, but if you act like an ass, you will get kicked out. And that is a very expensive mistake. Be tactful if you must. Puking on the Rockin' Roller Coaster is never cool.

We already have our next trip planned to Disney so I encourage Disney young adults to unite in their childlike ways and make your own wishes come true!
