With so many different advertisements and commercials, what are the best deals for the 2009 season? Here is the list of the top three deals to snag:
Resort Hotel Package...
As anyone who looks into staying at Disneyland knows, staying at the resort hotels will cost you. A lot. The Disneyland Resort Hotels offer some of the most exclusive access to the parks. Hop on the monorail system straight from your hotel into the park. Free babysitting, character appearances and more are all offered at the park hotels. The Disneyland Resort Hotel Package offers you the choice of staying at the Disneyland Hotel, Paradise Pier Hotel, or the Grand Californian Hotel. With this package, you'll receive a park hopper pass good for both Disney's California Adventure, and Disneyland Park along with a free magic morning admission letting you and the family into the park early to hit some of your favorite rides before the parks even open.
In addition to these fabulous offers, you can also receive up to $150 (gift card) for staying at one of the resorts for 4 nights or longer. Prices for this package vary depending on the length of stay as well as which hotel you choose to stay at.
Everyone Plays at Kid's Prices...
Buy any three day package and all adults get in at the kids prices. They'll also put you up at one of the Disney Good Neighbor Hotels--the Quality Inn and Suites. And you'll enjoy your hotel, park admissions, and a few freebies for an average of $68 per person, per day.
The additional freebies with this package include one early morning admission to the Disneyland parks and includes a fun scavenger hunt! You can also receive free premier seating at certain attractions for Disneyland's California Adventure Park.
This package is one of the hottest packages available for the 2009 season, and is quickly selling out for the 2009 season.
Good Neighbor Hotel Package...
The Good Neighbor Hotel Package offers plenty of fun at any of the 40 nearby Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotels for a fraction of the cost. In addition to great deals, the Good Neighbor Package is offering a few perks this year. You'll receive a free magic morning with early admission into the park. You'll also receive a call from Mickey and preferred seating at many of the Disney's California Adventure attractions.
Having the ability to choose from a variety of different resorts gives you the best option for the things you want. Choose from your preferred work travel hotels to earn extra stay points or use credits, or choose from hotels offering free breakfasts and babysitting services. You have the option to choose the things you're family will need while you're staying.
Because of the large amount of hotels to choose from, prices will vary.
Magic Kingdom Tips...
There are plenty of tips to saving money and having an enjoyable time while staying at the magic kingdom. But getting these tips from an insider will help you have an even more enjoyable time.
Choosing the time of the year is probably the best way to have an enjoyable time. Especially if you have young children who aren't good at waiting in long lines. Resident passes are readily available to California residents, and the park gets insanely busy during California school holiday times. Find out when California school vacations are, then try to avoid going during those times. Summer is also a crazy time at the park. September is often the best time to go to the park. Our family found that Super bowl Sunday was actually the best day to go to the park. We walked on many of the rides that usually had an hour or longer wait time! (However, you can't always predict the weather during that time of year and it can be pretty soggy).
Food is another money breaker. You will pay an insane amount of money for food inside the park. We have always had a hotel close to the park so we could go back and forth as we pleased. When the kids were younger, they always benefited from leaving the park for a couple of hours to take a nap. Shuttles are readily available to take you back and forth from the park to your hotel throughout the day. If you stay at a resort hotel, you can simply hop on the monorail and ride to your hotel.
Choose a hotel that has a full morning breakfast. Loading up (for free!) is a big help on your budget and it guarantees the kids have a full tummy and plenty of energy for walking and waiting in lines at the park. Also choose a hotel that has a fridge and microwave. Then hit the local grocery store and load up on snacks, juice boxes, milk, bread and sandwich meat. Often when the little ones were tired, my husband and I would have a sandwich while they napped. It saved a lot of money over eating in the park and pushing tired cranky kids in the stroller. And we could stowaway a bunch of snacks and juice boxes to have while in the park. You can even buy some cookies and popcorn. At night when the kids were tired or asleep, we enjoyed popcorn and a movie before retiring to bed ourselves.
For dinners, there are plenty of places to hit close by. Subway, McDonald's, El Pollo Loco and other fast food restaurants are a short drive away from the park. They may even be close by your own hotel. Other nicer establishments like Coco's are also close by. One suggestion would be to pick up an Entertainment Book before going. Often they have buy one, get one free entree coupons you can use at many of these restaurants to save you even more money while dining. Also check out free kids meal sites. A link to find many of the establishments that offer free kids meals is given at the end of the article.
When the park opens, hit the popular rides first. Fast pass one ride, then get in line for another popular ride. By the time you get through your first ride, you'll be able to use your fast pass for the next ride.
