The Magic Kingdom
The goal for Walt Disney was to build an amusement park for families and the plan was to make it an 8 acres big park, but this turned out to be too small and nowadays the park in California is built on an area of 180 acres. People started to build the park in July, 1954 and less than one year later it was available for public visits.
The Magic Kingdom contained five lands.
The typical city of the century in the US, Main Street.
The Adventureland, a place to experience the African and Asian jungle.
Frontierland, get the chance to experience the old days of the frontier.
Fantasyland, a land where youth people got the chance to take part in classic stories and see them become real.
Tomorrowland - where you could enjoy the future.
Since the first park became a great success, Disney dreamt of building another, bigger park to amuse guests. He bought lots of land in Florida and started to build the park that was called Disney World by Walt Disney himself.
When Walt passed away his brother renamed the park, the name was after that Walt Disney World but it's still very much known as Disney World. This big park covers 47 square miles today and it's a lot bigger than Disneyland.
Magic Kingdom of Disney World was built as a bigger copy of Magic Kingdom in California. There are the same lands but the buildings in the Disney World are much larger than the ones in Disneyland.
Disneyland and Disney World
Nowadays there are more amenities in Disneyworld than it was from the beginning. There are water parks, two of them, and four parks with different themes. Magic Kingdom and three more. The new ones are: Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's MGM Studios and of course the Epcot.
There are lots of amenities to experience in Epcot but the most popular ones are the world of future and world showcase.
If you would like to see how the Disney films are produced you should visit the MGM Studios and if you visit the Animal Kingdom you will be able to see animals from the past that are no longer existing.
There are amenities that you will only find in the Californian park as well. These attractions are:
Matterhorn, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, a travel with a submarine, Indiana Jones.
Disney World offers other unique amenities like:
Puppet theater show about the Lion King, a theater show about Galaxy search, hall of presidents and cable cars, just to mention a few.
To say which park is the best one isn't easy, but you will surely be amazed and delighted no matter which one you visit. The Disneyland is filled with a magic touch and so are the Disney World!

Post a CommentI think you guys are hating because disney world is bigger than the original. Disneyworld over some disneyland any day :)
i agree with the person that says disneyland is the true disney experience. ive been to both and ill take disneyland EVERY TIME over disneyworld. i love the fact that its the original, but i just think its better and so does my husband. and to the person that says disney world has blizzard beach and typhoon lagoon, remember that disneyland has california adventure. i will always prefer the original disneyland. its magical.
I hate Disneyland but I LOVE DISNEYWORLD!!!
I love DisneyWorld and Land I am really rich and i go there all the time!
I went to DisneyWorld when i was 9 now i am 65 but i am going to Disneyland with my family and i will got on the Disney Cruise to the Bahamas
Burrrrrrrrr Gucci!!!!!
I feel sorry for Disney World veterans who decide not to bother to come to Disneyland just because they hear that it is smaller. They're really missing out on the true Disney park and true Disney experience. Until you visit Disneyland, you really haven't experienced real Disney magic. You may think you have since you've been to Disney World, but believe me it is so much better at Disneyland. It's the original Disney park, and it's simply better. The rides, characters, theming, attention to detail, fireworks, shows.......I could go on, but it's just better.
i visited WDW two times already but haven't yet visited DL...am afraid if i go there it'll be a waste because its a lot more smaller that WDW..i love disneyworld because i fell in love with their four different parks(magic kingdom, animal kingdom, epcot, and hollywood studios) and their new water parks blizzard beach and typhoon lagoon...disneyland doesnt have those parks
I say Disney World is alot bigger
