Disney's Dining Plan: A Great Option for Disney Resort Guests

Amanda M. Rose
The Disney Dining Plan is a package that is offered to guests that are staying at Walt Disney World Resorts. The Plan is available to guests who purchase the Magic Your Way vacation package, and allows guests to eat at more than 100 participating Walt Disney World locations. Everyone in the room must be on the same package and have the same ticket options.

Included in the package:
- Accommodations at a Walt Disney Resort
- Magic Your Way Base Ticket - you may upgrade the base ticket to include options such as the Park Hopper, Water Park Fun & More, and no expiration date on the tickets, all at an additional fee. The park tickets come in packages ranging from 1 - 10 days. The more days you buy, the less the cost is per day.
- Disney's PhotoPass - Disney's Photopass can be accessed online at Disneyworld.com. The website allows you to view pictures that were taken of you during your stay by Walt Disney photographers. The photographers can be found throughout Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Animal Kingdom, Disney Hollywood Studios, and the water parks. When you arrive to register at your resort you will be provided with one certificate for a 5x7 print through the website. There is one certificate per room.
- Sea Raycers - You will be provided with a certificate that entitles you to 90 minutes of use on the Sea Rays when you purchase 60 minutes. One certificate per resevervation.
- $15 gift certificate for food and non-alcohol beverages at Downtown Disney's Planet Hollywood. VIP Preferred Seating is available from 11a.m. through 6p.m. One certificate pre reservation
- Commemorative Luggage Tag (one per guests)
- Arcade card valid for 30 minutes of game play at resort arcades. One per room

The Disney Dining Plan, allows each guest to have one table service meal, one counter service and one snack per night of stay. The table service meal allows each guest to have an entree with dessert (available at lunch and dinner), one juice (at breakfast) and a non-alcoholic beverage, or one full buffet. The child dining plan allows the child to have an appetizer, entree and dessert at each meal, with one non-alcoholic beverage, or one full buffet. The counter service meal is a quick service meal that allows each of the guests on the plan to have an entree or combo meal with a dessert (lunch and dinner) or juice (breakfast), and a non-alcoholic beverage. Lastly, for each night of stay you receive one snack credit, which can be used for ice-cream, popsicles, popcorn, bag of chips, soda, water, etc. (check out my other article on how to use your snack credits for ideas).

The Disney Dining Plan is priced at $39.99 - adult per night; $10.99 - child (3-9) per night

The price above does include taxes, but does not include gratuity at the table service meals, or any photograph packages that the restaurant offers unless the restaurant offers that as your package (i.e. Cinderella's Royal Table).
