Disney's Magical Express

Taking the Hassle Out of Your Disney World Vacation

Lisa Thibault Pietsch
One of the biggest hassles of taking the whole family to Disney World is the logistics. Children require both luggage and hardware and when it comes to dragging the kids to the baggage carousel, renting a car, fighting traffic and dealing with parking lots, you can easily find yourself arriving at the "Happiest Place on Earth" entirely too exhausted to enjoy it. The good news is that the imagineers at Walt Disney World have done something to fix that. They've created Disney's Magical Express.

Disney's Magical Express is a free service that provides roundtrip airport transportation and baggage delivery for guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

By taking advantage of Disney's Magical Express, you can skip the baggage claim nightmare and forget about renting a car and trying to find your way through Orlando traffic. Disney's Magical Express service will pick up your luggage for you, transport you from Orlando International Airport to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel and deliver your bags to your room. When your vacation is over, they'll pick up your luggage and check it at the airport for you so all you have to do is get your family on the Magical Express bus and back on the plane.

To take advantage of Disney's Magical Express, simply book your vacation at one of the official Walt Disney World Resorts and, if booking online, select the Disney's Magical Express option under "transportation" or, request it along with your reservation if booking by phone.

When you land at Orlando International Airport, just go directly to Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center in the Main Terminal Building and they'll pick up your luggage and transport it to your room within three hours after you check in. If you arrive between 10:00 pm and 5:00 am, you'll need to grab your luggage yourself so be sure to plan accordingly when booking your flight.

Prior to checking out of your hotel, you'll receive a Transportation Notice letting you know when and where you'll need to catch your Magical Express ride back to Orlando International Airport. You'll need to bring your luggage with you to the pick-up point.

A truly savvy traveler will also select the Resort Airline Check-In Service that Walt Disney World provides. This service allows you to receive your return boarding pass and check luggage at your Walt Disney World hotel and completely eliminate airport check-in.

Once you book this service, you'll need to visit the Resort Airline Check-In Desk at your Walt Disney World hotel up to three hours prior to your flight departure time. You'll need a valid government issued photo I.D. and your hotel room key. This service is available for passengers traveling with the following airlines: Alaska Airlines, Continental, JetBlue, United, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Northwest, AirTran, and US AIR.

Why not let your vacation at the happiest place on earth start at Orlando International Airport? Take advantage of Disney's Magical Express and the Airline Check-In Service. You'll be happy you did!
