Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

Perfect for Those Who Love Downtown Diseny

Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa (SSR) opened in mid May 2004, as the seventh extension of the Disney Vacation Club at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The resort was inspired by Saratoga Springs, in the state of New York; it has been built in four stages and has grown to be the largest of the DVC resorts. The resort is located in the same vicinity as Downtown Disney, and allows access to the Downtown area by foot, and bus. The resort is spread across 65 acres and is home to 828 Disney Vacation Units (1260 guest rooms) throughout 18 Villa buildings.

The rooms that are available range from single studios to three bedroom extended family suites on two floors (Grand Villas) and will be opening the much anticipated Treehouse Villas later in 2009. The Disney Vacation studios at the resort come with a kitchenette (bar fridge, microwave, small sink, toaster), bathrooms, one queen bed and one sleeper sofa, while the other suites all offer a full kitchen, ensuite laundry and a king size bed in the master bedroom with a large Jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower. The rooms are all accessed by an outdoor hallway and have windows that face out on the opposite side of the suite (no windows throughout the hallways).

While Saratoga Springs does offer a kitchen area in each suite so that guests are able to make their own meals, the resort also offers several different areas for meals. The Artist's Palette is a counter service area that offers meals ranging for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all in which are your traditional diner meals, including chicken fingers, flat breads, salads, etc. This restaurant also does have a host of grocery items along with a selection of wine, bakery, gift shop, resort merchandise, sundries and other items for convenience. The Turf Club Bar & Grill is a full service restaurant with a lounge area. The Turf Club restaurant serves both lunch and dinner, and offers everything from your average hamburger, to large steak meals. The lounge area, better known as the Turf Club, offers pool tables and a full service bar. On The Rocks Pool Bar, is the poolside bar located at the High Rock Springs pool. The bar offers alcoholic drinks and beverages, sodas, light snacks and has a refillable mug station. The Back Stretch Pool Bar is a similar poolside bar at the Grandstand pool, which offers small meals along with drinks.

Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, is also one of two Disney resorts that offers a full spa to it guests (the other being Grand Floridian). The spa offers professional spa treatments and packages, relaxing mineral pools and private treatment rooms. The spa also does offer in-room massages for those that would like to make their stay a little more romantic.
