t children were lucky enough to grow up with crayons being a partof their life. We used crayons to color and learn at the same time. There are hundreds of different coloring books that teach you aboutshapes, animals, and many other things. They have become anessential learning tool that has fought the ever changing world oftechnology. That is that they have fought until now. Introducing Displax Crayon's digital interactive table.

We must face the reality that children today are becoming incredibly technology dependent. It would be wise of us to introduce them to technology at an early age so that the learning curve is much smaller. That is what Displax Crayon's interactive table sets out to do for us. This is a cleverly designed interactive table that uses digital technology instead of real crayons. Gone will be the mess that is created upon your child's fingers and the possibility that they may just draw on your wall one time or another.

Built into the interactive table is a thousands of different pictures for them to draw on. These pictures are just like the pictures that we usually color in our coloring books. Each picture is unique in that it can teach the child how to properly identify what it is through coloring habits. The Displax Crayon interactive table also comes with pre-programmed lesson on how to properly recycle and eat healthy. This is just the basic stuff that is loaded in currently. The table has the capability to be further advanced with regular updates via a easy to connect capability with your computer and their website.

The process of selecting crayon colors is similar to how we do it using a paint program on the computer. What the child will have to do is take their digital pen and select the color that they want to use. Once they have selected their color they can then start to color in the picture. I found the coloring part to be rather easy but also thought it could use a bit of work. It was kind of touch to stay within the lines and the children might not like drawing all over the place. This could be an issue that should be fixed with the future models coming down the road.

The bottom line is that the Displax Crayon interactive table is a clever piece of technology that could actually eliminate the end of crayons. Some questions arise asking if this will actually be used as a learning device or just as entertainment. I guess this would depend on what you want to use it for with your child. The concept offers a lot of potential due to the ability to load on new programs as the child becomes older and goes through everything that is preloaded. Look for it to be on the market sometime later this summer.
