Dissension

A.M. Morgan
Like an eagle with broken wings

I fly in uncertainty

Like an image in a faded picture

I am only half of what I see

I'm discouraged and bombarded by fear

I want to cry but I haven't been able to shed a tear

I want what is best for me

I struggle to find the path to my destiny

I try to pretend and find passion in things that my heart really isn't

in to

I ponder and ponder so much that my mind starts to wander

I'm troubled because I don't know which way to go

It is not possible for me to travel two roads

I've been on that intersection again and again. A very well crafted poem! Thanks.

This is a great poem for my situation right now. I am trying to figure out what to do career-wise and seem to be dabbling. It can be frustrating, but maybe someday I'll find my passion.

Nice poem. My maiden name was Morgan. I wonder if somehow we might be related?

I love this poem! I believe that as human beings, we all struggle at certain points in our lives with trying to find meaning in our existence and a general passion for living.

Thanks for your comments. I have discovered/reconnected with my passion which is writing. It just took me awile to embrace it because I was distracted by other things that I thought were of interest to me.

Excellent poetry. Sometimes we have to do things we don't want to in order to do the things we do want. Hopefully it gets better for you. I am so thankful that I am able to stay home with the kids and write and homeschool. If it weren't for an understanding husband, none of that would be possible. I hope you can find something you have a passion for that also provides what you need. If you need help with that, let me know. I pursue many things. ;-)

Very good poem about very sad feelings. I think we all struggle with having to do things we have no passion for. Hopefully, there are things in our lives we can find passion for and that makes the other things bearable.
