Divinidee Cakes is located at 1206 Main Street #110 in Allen, Texas just 15 minutes north of Dallas. The shop is on the north side of a small shopping center. If you are looking for a specialty cake for any occasion, I would highly recommend Divinidee Cakes.

I visited the cake shop to help a friend order a cake for her divorce party. We met Divinidee Cakes owner Dee Dee Bass Lewis for a consultation. Dee Dee Bass Lewis is also the head baker and creator of the shop. Dee Dee is the Allen, Texas version of the "Cake Boss". I asked her about her shop and how she got into the cake business and she said, "I opened my shop in June of '09. I have been making cakes for the Surrey House and Gardens in McKinney for 12 years and when my 5th and youngest child turned 5 and was entering Kindergarten I took the leap into business ownership."

Dee Dee was very friendly and made the cake ordering process much easier than my friend or I thought it would be. She is extremely knowledgeable and helpful in making decisions about the type of cake you want, the style and how it should be decorated.

So what kinds of cakes can you order at Divinidee Cakes? Anything you can imagine, you can order! If you are looking for a wedding cake, a groom cakes, birthday cakes, anniversary cakes, and even divorce cakes, Dee Dee the cake lady can make it for you.

I have never seen any cake like this. I have seen cake contests with a theme but this tops the cake.

How cool! I don't think I'd be able to eat a cake that was this pretty though!

I enjoyed this review very much. And you're right about those prices. Grocery store decorated cakes are more expensive than that around here.

The divorce party concept is new to me, a generational gap thing, I'm sure. Clever business name, and from the pictures, baking expertise to back up the business plan. Enjoyed the review. :)
