Divinity Rising: Better Than Bird Poop

What could be better than 12 days of Christmas? I mean, really...How could I top 12 drummers drumming, 11 pipers piping, 10 lords a leaping, 9 dancers dancing, 8 maids a milking, 7 swans a swimming, 6 geese a laying, 5 golden rings, 4 calling birds, 3 french hens, 2 turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree?

And what kind of commercial brew ha ha is that anyways? Where the heck would you keep all that? And come on, you'd at least regift some of the birds. Don't lie. That's a LOT of birds...and you know what that means...a LOT of bird poop. It definitely sounds like a RIPE regifting opportunity.

So, how do I top that? Lord knows that from the bottom of my heart, I want to give you something special. I mean, you deserve it! Well, aside from never singing that for you again, I can do even better. 24..that's right...24(!) fortunes! Fortunes you don't have to make closet room for...or clean up after! I love you all so much, I'm throwing in 24 space saving, FAT FREE imaginary fortune cookies, too! I care so much, I've saved you from expanding your closets AND your hips. HO HO HOLILEJAH! Merry whatever you celebrate day! YAY!

A friend of mine is making fortune cookies, and I offered to write the fortunes for them. So, here they are: 2 dozen fortunes. Some of them are from past writings. See if you know which of the articles they come from. On another note, I'm wishing you a warm holiday this week. I challenge you to spend at least ten minutes being still, reflecting on how much you've grown in the last year: Another whole year of moments! NEW YEARS EVE! Speak Easy is having our own party!!

We convinced Carly Rae's to let us have Louisville Speak Easy on Wednesday, New Years Eve! WE'll have the open mic and then share/watch bad movies as we shout our own impressions at them. This is the last speak easy of the year. We'll start up again january 8^th.

Every Thursday at 8 pm will be an open mic/arts and entertainment networking event at Carly Rae's on the corner of First and Oak st! It's a beautiful spot, with the perfect environment for a Speak Easy. Once a month, we will host a showcase with local art, a featured poet, and a featured music act followed by open stage. The awesome news is that the featured artist, poet AND musician will be paid! HURRAH! One giant leap for the open mic community! The featured artists, etc will be chosen from those that attend the open mic throughout the month.

Kids Open Mic Returns!- SATURDAYS from 5 pm to 7 pm... Come on out and shine/play with us! Donations appreciated but not necessary...
