Divorce of the England

Carolyn Lawrence
Bless me, father, for I have deeply sinned
I know not what I do under Spanish rule;
My sails are filled with the northern wind,
And powered on the backs of English fools.
Defy thy natural state of religious grace
And strike out, a foundling anew
Traditions thrown in the Vatican face-
Repent, sinners, as we come for you!
Divorce, a breach of the holy promise,
Despite the roaming eye of a greedy man-
There is no opportunity for a second kiss
Within the walls of the Holy Roman land.
Seek ye shall, a contract in which your desire will come-
Find ye shall, that in these lands there isn't one.
