All our houses are well-decorated,
You make our body,mind,speech
Purified.

We make all our houses
Interiors and exteriors
clean,painted and and
made attractive.

We illumine our hearts
with lamps and arrange
all the lamps and light them
in rows.

Oh!What a sight it is!
To see Deepavali lamps
arranged and kept
in rows and rounds.

We wear new dresses
and we exchange sweets
on this day..

We even decorate our single
places like the balcony and
the terrace.

We fire crackers and the sound
of crackers we can hear
the day before Diwali,
On the day, and the next day
and thereafter.

It goes on ringing in our ears
for a long time.

You start with light and sweet,
at home, and around everywhere.

We exchange Diwali Greetings,
everywhere,
with packets of sweets and
enjoy the company of our
friends and relatives.

You come once a year,
but the joy and happiness
you give,
make every one
Eagerly wait for your coming
in the next year.
